about
This was the last piece of music I was fortunate enough to record before the pandemic, back in December 2019, from a student session at Peabody Conservatory. It is an intimate, spacious, and mysterious piece of collectively improvised music.
The listener will enjoy this music most with a nice pair of headphones, as this is a nuanced and detailed recording with much of the detail occurring at low volumes.
I have dedicated this recording to a beautiful Barred Owl that lives in our neighborhood and has visited with me on four separate occasions this summer, bringing me a sense of peace and happiness. My fiance Erin named the owl "Badger".
